At Christ Community, we cherish the opportunity to sing songs of praise, celebration, surrender, repentance, and adoration together as a church family each Sunday.

Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!
Serve the Lord with gladness!
Come into his presence with singing!
Know that the Lord, He is God!
It is He who made us, and we are His;
we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.
Enter His gates with thanksgiving,
and His courts with praise!
Give thanks to Him; bless His name!
For the Lord is good;
His steadfast love endures forever,
and His faithfulness to all generations.

- Psalm 100

By design, our worship music enriches and enhances our liturgical rhythm. You’ll notice that after we recite our corporate confession of sin, we’ll sing a song of repentance. After we hear the Word preached, we’ll sing a song of celebration as we ponder the worthy character of our Savior.

We strongly believe that music is a powerful gift from our Creator. He has created us as complex people: a mixture of body, soul, spirit, heart, mind, and emotion. He’s designed us to live in a community with one another. Lifting our voices together in song each week, as part of our church family’s corporate worship, provides us a unique and beautiful opportunity to praise our Heavenly Father in one accord. This musical worship is an enriching experience for us.

We want our music to reflect both our city and the diverse, kingdom community God is drawing to Himself. For these reasons, we enjoy a variety of musical styles at Christ Community. We sing a lot of hymns re-tuned with fresh new sounds. We also enjoy gospel music and contemporary praise choruses. We hope your soul will be nourished and your faith will be strengthened as you reflect on the lyrical depth and rich melodies.

Our worship leader, Rachel Billingsley, along with her husband Greg and the rest of the CCC music team, consider it a great privilege to lead our congregation in song each and every Sunday. Their thoughtful prayer and preparation is a blessing to all of us.

If you’re a part of the CCC family, and you’re interested in being part of the music team, please contact Rachel Billingsley (rachel@cccfay.com) to hear more about this ministry opportunity.
